BC MUSIC FESTIVAL COLLECTIVE

THE BRITISH COLUMBIA MUSIC FESTIVAL COLLECTIVE (BCMFC) WAS FORMED IN APRIL 2020 AT THE ONSET OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC TO PROVIDE A COMMON VOICE AND SHARED SPACE TO BC’S MUSIC FESTIVAL INDUSTRY. OUR MEMBERS INCLUDE NON-PROFITS, FOR-PROFITS, AND MULTIPLE GENRE AND SIZE FESTIVALS FROM DIVERSE GEOGRAPHIC REGIONS. MEMBERSHIP IS OPEN TO ANY MUSIC FESTIVAL BASED IN BC.

Vision To support and promote a healthy and vibrant music festival industry in British Columbia. 

Mission BC Music Festival Collective provides knowledge sharing, advocacy and resources for BC music festivals. 

Objectives:

  • Advocate on behalf of the BC Music Festival industry to ensure ongoing government support.
  • Create public awareness and understanding of the economic, cultural and social benefits of festivals in BC.
  • Collaborate with provincial, national and international stakeholders to create strategic partnerships.
  • Connect by convening province wide meetings with the festival community.
  • Educate and Engage members by hosting industry stakeholders presentations and share current industry resources.
  • Facilitate the promotion of festivals and events in the region.
